Insider Report: Freshmen taking over

The large number of freshmen making a major contribution at Florida State has been discussed, written about and analyzed by both fans and the media. As the injuries continue to pile up, the number of rookie contributors and starters is continuing to grow, especially on defense.

On Saturday against Boston College, the 'Noles started five true freshman, and one redshirt freshman. After you throw in a couple sophomores, FSU is fielding one of the youngest teams in all of college football.

According to head coach Bobby Bowden the lack of experience and relative youth of the team is a major reason for the large number of miscues that have plagued the Seminole football team this season.
