One day closer to Oregon
Wednesday's practice was much like Tuesday's. The players are taking this road game seriously and the practices are intense. Players are flying around and showing a lot of hustle. Though this team is growing up and overcoming the adversity that injuries bring, the real test comes to the Bruins are Saturday when UCLA faces Oregon in always tough Autzen Stadium.
UCLA coach Karl Dorrell is happy with his team's practice so far this week.
"Good practice under the noise," Dorrell said. "Did you guys watch it? I know you guys hide because you don't want to listen to all that noise, but I thought it was a good practice.
"Pat (Patrick Cowan) looked sharp and we hope to continue to get a couple of days closer where he's going to be ready and be really, really sharp for us on Saturday.
"The defense practiced well, had some good hustle and they are getting a good feel for what we are trying to do with our package defensively against Oregon.
"Offensively we look closer too, we're real pleased with what we did today. Tomorrow we will have another noise day then we will be heading on the plane on Friday. We feel pretty good.
