Interest picking up for Watt
Despite being committed to Central Michigan, Pewaukee, Wis., defensive end/tight end prospect JJ Watt is keeping his recruiting door slightly open in the case the Wisconsin Badgers find room for him in their 2007 recruiting class.
According to Watt, who updated that he is now 6-foot-6 and between 235 and 240 pounds, the Badgers have upped their interest in him this fall. In fact, Watt was one of several unofficial and official visitors on campus this past weekend to see the Badgers defeat Northwestern, 41-9.
Watt is still 100 percent committed to CMU although this fall, along with UW, schools such as Minnesota, Illinois, Colorado, Nebraska, Northwestern and Northern Illinois have picked up interest, he said, while NIU recently offered.
