Kansas a formidable foe for Texas A&M

Texas A&M will travel for the first time this season when they face Kansas Saturday at 11 a.m. in Lawrence, and they do so on the heels of a heartbreaking last-second loss to Texas Tech.

But to get back on track against the Jayhawks they will have to do so against a team that matches up well with the Aggies.

How so?

For one, Kansas has the fourth-ranked rush defense in the Big 12 conference giving up just 88.6 yards per game on the ground to combat A&M's top-ranked rushing offense.

It was previously thought that the Nebraska duo of Marlon Lucky and Cody Glenn would blow up the Jayhawk front seven, but the Jayhawks held firm as they allowed just 116 yards on 32 carries - a 3.6-yard average per carry.
