Insider Report: The 'Carr' Factor

More than any other team in the ACC, NC State has given Florida State fits since Chuck Amato took over as their head coach. Since his arrival in Raleigh, the 'Noles are only 3-3 against the former assistant coach despite being favored in every contest.

The last couple times these two teams faced off, it has been a defensive struggle. As lackluster as the Seminole offense has been lately, it has been downright anemic against the Wolfpack defense. In 2004 and 2005, FSU averaged only 16 points and 174 yards of total offense against NC State. That's down over 200 yards and 10 points per game off the combined season averages for those two seasons.
