What are strengths and keys to the USF offense?
Right now, speed and the emergence of redshirt freshman QB Matt Grothe are driving USF's offense. The Bulls are getting plays out of a deep receiving corps. Wideouts Ean Randolph, Taurus Johnson, Amarri Jackson, Amp Hill and S.J. Green are all very capable of producing big gains and points. And what can you say about Grothe? He's playing like a veteran already - making plays with his arm and his legs - and he's never flustered.
What are the strenghts and keys to the USF defense?
Again, speed, speed and more speed. The Bulls will be undersized against perhaps every opponent they'll play this season, but they're typically able to make up for it with across-the-board team speed. USF's three veteran linebackers - Stephen Nicholas, Ben Moffitt and Patrick St. Louis - are rock solid and their excellent cornerbacks (Mike Jenkins and Trae Williams) can play one-on-one with any receiver, allowing the Bulls flexibility to do other things.
