Tide looks determined to improve

A shorts and shoulder pads session on Wednesday afternoon had head coach Mike Shula raving about the Tide's determination and focus in practice this week.

"Based on the way we've practiced the last two days, we'll play better," Shula said. "The guys were moving around and throwing and catching the ball much better. We had a good two-minute drive between our first offense and first defense."

Shula was optimistic about his team's prospects for improvement this week and said he is already beginning to see the team move toward it's "A-game".

"We feel like our best game is still out there and we're trying to find a way to put that game together and build some momentum. This week we've got our hands full and we've got to play better than we've played."

Meanwhile, Shula and his coaching staff have been preparing for Louisiana-Monroe and its spread offense that gave the Kansas Jayhawks a scare last weekend.
