Tough opener: CMU Preview

If there was ever an opening game against an opponent, that's a two touchdown underdog, that Boston College shouldn't overlook, it's Central Michigan. BC will hit the road to open up their 2006 season at CMU, in what is just the 7th night game ever at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. The Eagles don't have to look far back into their history to know that they shouldn't take any double-digit underdog MAC opponent lightly to start the season. In 2004, BC opened at Ball State (-17), and edged out the Cardinals 19-11. Ball State won just two games all year, but kept the game close with BC the entire duration. CMU is much more talented than that 2004 Ball State team, and that's what makes B.C.'s opener a little bit scary.
