Notebook: injury update, depth chart changes, more
Florida State coach Bobby Bowden seemed unusually chipper following Wednesday night's scrimmage. A day later -- and with a chance to fully evaluate the film from that scrimmage -- Bowden said his mood hasn't changed.
"Well, whatever I felt (Wednesday) night I haven't seen enough to change my mind," Bowden said. "I am not going to wipe that smile off my face now."
But Bowden also said he's not completely satisfied with what he saw on Wednesday.
"Looking at the film, it again shows you how much work you have got to do," Bowden said. "It shows you what you need to do that you haven't done. It is kind of a good starting place to see where we are.
It kind of measures us. We had some good plays out there (Wednesday) night and of course we made a lot of mistakes, a lot of errors, and things like that. That is usually what happens in the first scrimmage when you are trying to play everybody."
During Thursday's practice session -- 20 regular periods plus three special teams periods -- players worked out in helmets, shorts and shoulder pads.
