Riley pleased with the play of the defense

Once again the skies were blue and the sun was shining as the Beavers took in
their twelfth day of fall camp at Prothro Field this afternoon. Coach Riley was
happy with the practice, but throughout today's practice there was definitely
an ebb and flow to the pace and it appeared at times that the grind of fall camp was starting to show.

Riley explained after practice, "We changed some things up, ran plays with different personnel groups,
and made them think a little bit."

Quick Hits:

  • Ruben Jackson did not participate in drills as he is recovering from dental
work. He was active at practice, in the middle of everything and paying close
attention to the WR drills and encouraging his teammates.

  • Trent Bray attended practice today. Although the Dolphins cut him loose,
it looks like he will be heading to Houston to work with the Texans.

  • Micah Strickland missed a few screen passes today, but in all fairness,
Dennis Christopher had a great break-up on one of them. Strickland is however becoming quite a blocker.
