Surprise big NU visitor

Nebraska had a surprise unofficial visitor this weekend due to his being in the general proximity. While he was in neighboring Iowa, Jaivorio Burkes decided to take the relatively short jaunt to Lincoln in order to meet the Husker coaching staff and tour the new facilities. Burkes is rated as the No. 5 offensive guard in the country according to Rivals.com, as well as the No. 3 recruit in the state of Arizona.

Burkes and his teammates were in Iowa detasseling corn, which gave him the opportunity to see Nebraska's program.

Burkes has received 42 written offers to this point, but the NU staff was on him early which is paying dividends.

Burkes hasn't narrowed his list down yet, but he should have a final list of favorites within a month. He said that the Huskers will definitely be there after he trims things down.
