Summer Q&A: Marcus Sims
When the dust settled on national signing day, Florida State landed the nation's No. 3 ranked recruiting class. One of the top recruits from that group is Tallahassee North Florida Christian standout Marcus Sims. At this point, the freshman running back is better known for being the younger brother of former FSU standout linebacker Ernie Sims, but he hopes to change that. The former Rivals100 member talked to Warchant.com recently about how his first month on campus has gone, his expectations for the upcoming season, whether he will redshirt and more.
Q: How have the summer workouts gone for you since your arrival on campus?
Marcus Sims: They have been good. Everything has gone really well and it has been better than I expected. I am getting to know everybody. Everybody has been overwhelmed with all the classes and stuff but it has been pretty good getting to know everybody, the coaches, and such.
Q: How physically prepared did you feel you were when you arrived on campus?
Marcus Sims: I thought I was pretty prepared because I have been doing Titus (Academy) all summer and working out with my school a little bit and stuff like that. I was also doing conditioning. I thought I would be decently in shape to come out here and show my ability.
