Five storylines to watch at Big 12 Media Days

KANSAS CITY - The Big 12 Media Days will take place at the Marriott Country Club Plaza in Kansas City over the next three days. Each day four different teams will take the podium in KC.

HuskersIllustrated.com has come up with the five biggest storylines to look for this week at Big 12 Media Days. No doubt the biggest question is can Texas replace Vince Young?


Can Texas replace Vince Young?

It's amazing what one player meant to not only a conference, but the entire country. Fact is if former Texas quarterback Vince Young is back in Austin for his senior season, the Longhorns are the consensus favorites to repeat as national champions and Young is the clear-cut favorite to win the Heisman.

There's no doubt UT head coach Mack Brown will answer a thousand questions involving Young's name and how you replace him.

Right now Young's duties will be split between a pair of freshmen signal callers - Colt McCoy and Jevan Snead. The nice thing for Snead and McCoy is Texas returns a solid cast of 13 starters to go around them.

Another nice thing for Texas is they will only leave the Lone Star state for two games this year, so their schedule will be pretty favorable for breaking in two young quarterbacks.
