Jefferson is a top target for Marshall in 2007
Cleveland Glenville wide receiver Kyle Jefferson (6-foot-5, 195 pounds, 4.5 seconds) is one of the top players in Ohio for 2007. Jefferson, who has racked up fourteen scholarship offers so far, has had a busy summer. The Glenville standout has visited nearly a dozen schools and Marshall was one of his stops. The Herd has already rang the bell in Ohio with the commitment of Chris Smith. Can they do it again with Jefferson?
"I consider myself wide open at this point but Marshall is definitely a school that I am looking at," said Jefferson.
What stands out to Jefferson about Marshall?
"I like their tradition of having professional wide receivers and quarterbacks come through there. I mean any school that has produced players like Randy Moss, Byron Leftwich, and Chad Pennington will get the attention of a wide receiver."
The Buckeye State star visited Huntington in June.
"I was impressed. The coaches were all great and they were telling me how I fit well with what they are looking for in a receiver. The campus was really nice too and I liked hearing about the new weight room. Marshall is getting good fast and if they join the Big East, look out."
