Waiting for an offer
Arizona's coaching staff began working on its 2008 recruiting class a while back and it shows because several of that year's top prospects have the UA high on their list. The Wildcats are likely to give out four or five scholarships for that class and it looks like Arizona could be bringing in a very impressive group of players.
GOAZCATS.com has been covering most of those recruits for a long time but there's one name that hasn't come up much, although it's certainly not for a lack of interest in Arizona on his part.
Murphy Holloway, a 6-foot-7, 185-pound combo forward from Dutch Fork High School in Ermo, South Carolina, is an emerging 2008 prospect. He's making a big impression on the national scene due to the fact that he plays hard all the time.
After scouting Holloway at the Nike Hoop Jamboree, Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Jerry Meyer offered the following analysis of his game:
"Holloway played an aggressive, confident style of basketball that served him and his team well. He didn't try to do too much with the ball, but when he did attack, he was decisive and explosive. Being a lefty adds to his unique style of play and defensively he is active and around the ball."
