Lewis Jackson: Eyeing DePaul

Lewis Jackson is doing a reversal when it comes to DePaul and his recruiting: DePaul University is has not actively pursued him, but the 5-foot-9, do-everything point guard is actively pursuing DePaul.

"I really like DePaul", states Jackson. "I really love DePaul's style of play because they love to run up and down the floor, and play in a great conference."

But DePaul has yet to really pursue the high-flying guard, only sending him a media guide during last season.

After averaging 13.4 points, 7.2 assists and 3 steals for Eisenhower High School in Decatur, Illinois, he has continued his success with the Indiana Elite, where he averages 18 points and eight assists for the 25-3 team. Lewis is using this summer to prove himself to everyone out there.

"I wish people would come watch me before they comment about my game," says Jackson. "Most say I'm just a scoring guard, but the truth is that I'm a pass-first point guard. I pride myself in getting the ball to my teammates."

Lewis is actually using the summer to work on his game. He is working on not dribbling out the clock while on the perimeter, as well as working on his perimeter shot, as it's still average at best.
