Decision imminent for York

Offensive tackle Carson York (6-5, 270, 5.2) from Coeur d'Alene (Idaho) Lake City is unique indeed. Though northwest Idaho isn't thought of a football hotbed, this recruiting season York has made Lake City high school a destination point for many college schools this spring.

The talented tackle keeps racking up offers as his stock has been scorching and he could be the most sought after prospect from the Gem State since Arizona State standout and now Denver Bronco, Jake Plummer.

"Cal offered me Thursday," York said. "Northwestern, Cal and Arizona State have offered me recently."

"I'm going to announce my decision this week," York said. "I will probably announce Tuesday or Wednesday."

York has offers on the table from Arizona State, Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, Washington, Washington State and Idaho.

York was a second-team all-league and second-team all-area performer as a junior. He was the only underclassman to be honored on either team.
