Prospects shine at Mountain Brook Combine

Mobile, Ala., B.C. Rain cornerback Ryan Williams first burst onto the recruiting scene at last year's Mountain Brook Combine blistering the track with a 4.36 40-yard dash.


A bulked up Williams was even better at this year's event putting up another outstanding 40 time and dominating one-on-one drills.


"From last year to this year I really improved," said Williams. "I worked on my footwork and worked hard in the offseason and it's really paying off right now.


"I thought I did great. I like competition. It pumps me up. Every time a receiver came out I got my hands on them."


Williams got off to a bit of a slow start turning in a 4.50 on his first run. But after a few adjustments, he was back in form on his second attempt, running a 4.37.
