Pokes prepped for Orange-White

Monday's Oklahoma State football practice was the last regular workout of the spring. It served as a tuneup for Saturday's Orange-White spring game, with the Cowboys scrimmaging on Wednesday afternoon. They didn't waste time getting to the scrimmage session, starting stretching at 2:30 and the scrimmage was underway by 3:20. Today's notes cover a variety of topics.

Bowman excels - Wide receiver Adarius Bowman had a big day on Wednesday. Early in the scrimmage, Bowman blew past cornerback Calvin Mickens and quarterback Bobby Reid hit him in stride for what was an approximately 65-yard touchdown. Later in the session, Reid found Bowman in the redzone and he powered through a tackle attempt from middle linebacker Rodrick Johnson and dove into the endzone.

Special observers - Point guards Byron Eaton and Jammal Brown watched the first 30 minutes or so of the scrimmage from the fan area. It's not the first time we've seen the pair at football practice this spring. Despite battling to a degree for playing time, the two hoopsters seem to get along very well.
