Sanchez reviews spring
Two years ago, Mark Sanchez led Mission Viejo High School to a CIF D-II Championship, but after signing with USC and reshirting his freshman year, the five-star quarterback found himself watching a trophy presentation instead of being a part of one.
However, the Trojans 41-38 loss to Texas in the Rose Bowl was only the end of the beginning for Sanchez.
Thousands of USC fans left the Rose Bowl stunned after the Trojans failed to defend their title as national champions for a second straight year. While Trojan fans and alumni couldn't wait to forget Jan. 4, Sanchez and fellow freshman teammate Patrick Turner did all they could to keep the loss fresh in their minds.
As the Longhorns hoisted the Sears Trophy in victory, Sanchez and Turner watched from afar.
