Washington enjoys U-M spring game

Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary's found out just how tough it is to beat the same team three times in a row when they fell to eventual state champion Brimingham Brother Rice in the state playoffs. The Eaglets return a bevy of offensive and defensive stars in 2007, though, including wide receiver Taurian Washington who attended Michigan final spring practice Saturday.

The 6-2, 185-pound Washington recorded nearly 1,000 receiving yards last fall and already sports a scholarship offer from Michigan as well as teams like Iowa, Michigan State, Penn State, Oregon and Washington.

Normally, on a visit like the one he took Saturday to Ann Arbor, Washington would be accompanied by teammates Dionte Allen and Justin Siller, both of who also sport multiple scholarship offers. This trip was one Washington took alone, though.
