Morales gearing up for life as a Scarlet Knight

Andres Morales was always a big kid. But after his junior season, the Liberty High School (Pa.) linebacker had yet to prove that he had the speed and overall athleticism to make him the complete package. That concern was addressed in the offseason, when Morales slimmed down, toned up, and quickened his step.

The changes were noticeable in the summer of 2005 when we saw him at the Schiano Shootout, and they were definitely noticeable on the field in the fall, where Morales led his team to the state finals and earned a spot on the prestigious Big 33 roster.

Local trainer, Jason Brader, worked with the Liberty squad in the past and has seen Morales' transformation first-hand.

"He was always a big bodied guy, and now he looks like a grown man," said Brader. "From ninth grade until now, you can see a dramatic change."
