Henderson has impressive spring

Compared to the past six weeks, Mikey Henderson's first three years with the Georgia Bulldogs had been pretty ho hum, but all it took was a simple move from cornerback to wide receiver and suddenly he is one of the most talked about players in Athens. Now, he heads into the offseason hoping to ride the wave of expectations into the fall and make a big impact on the Dawgs' 2006 season.

"I cannot explain what it is like to go against him all the time in practice," said freshman cornerback Asher Allen of Henderson. "It just helps my game a whole lot, and he is going to be a force in the SEC. He is so explosive and quick that if you blink he is right there. I think he is going to show a whole lot, and I think he showed a whole lot today."

The day Allen is talking about was this past Saturday when Henderson led the team in receptions with five for 87 yards and a touchdown. That score, a 64 yarder from the arm of freshman Matthew Stafford, was the only offensive touchdown scored in the game.
