Crick enjoyed visit to Lawrence
Jared Crick is a name that most Kansas fans might not recognize, but that is about to change. The 6-foot-6, 240-pound defensive end/tight end from Cozad (Neb.) High School is being recruited by quite a few college football programs, but has just one scholarship offer at this time. That offer comes from the Kansas Jayhawks. After taking an unofficial visit to KU, are the Hawks the team to beat for Crick?
"Yes, KU is the only school that has offered me a scholarship," said Crick.
"KU is on top of my list right now. I took a visit to the campus a week or so before the offer. I just love the campus and think Lawrence is a beautiful place. The football facilities are real nice and I have a good relationship with Coach Blaney. I have been watching Kansas basketball longer than any other sport, so I am a big KU fan."
Despite the fact that Crick is extremely high on Coach Mark Mangino and the Hawks, he is not even close to putting an end to his recruitment. He knows that it is only a matter of time before more schools begin to extend scholarship offers.
Additionally, growing up in Nebraska means that Crick has always dreamed about playing for the hometown Huskers.
