Coach: Hudson's a unique player

Austin Hudson committed to Wisconsin on Thursday evening, the first high-major school to come in with a scholarship offer.

But according to Plant High School head coach Robert Weiner, that probably would have changed for his senior athlete had his recruitment dragged on.

"Austin has unbelievable, freakish talent," Weiner told BadgerBlitz.com. "But with the injury to his groin last year, he didn't play a whole lot for us a junior. So for a kid who didn't have a lot a junior film, I think Wisconsin took advantage of that. They saw at camp what I already knew, that Austin is as good as any other kid, he just didn't have the volume of film out there. In the end, I think Austin really appreciated the fact that they believed in him and he doesn't want to let them down."
