Sooners First of Many Offers For Elite LB










There has been a lot of talk about the Sooners getting more serious about early recruiting in the class of 2014 already sending out 73 offers against just 57 at the same point for last year's juniors. Another interesting aspect has been Oklahoma's lack of delay in it's pursuit of 2015 prospects.

And no player among the rising juniors has seen any more attention from the Sooners than Mesquite (Texas) Poteet linebacker Malik Jefferson. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect recently picked up an offer from Sooners second-year linebackers coach Tim Kish.

"I walked into my coach's office and said you won't believe what just happened. I thought it was about our football team and ended up being an individual thing and told me they wanted to offer me. It's just hard to explain, my teammates are just excited for me," Jefferson said.
