The Auburn game in a nutshell

Vanderbilt beat Auburn 65-35 in its Southeastern Conference opener on Saturday. VandySports' Chris Lee and Jesse Johnson chronicle the highlights, lowlights, and everything else of significance from the game.


Turning point:
After a slow first couple of minutes, Vanderbilt trailed Auburn 3-1. But a pair of Festus Ezeli free throws got Vandy going, then Brad Tinsley hit a jumper on the next possession. John Jenkins and Jeffery Taylor hit 3s on the next two trips, and the game was never in doubt from there.
