Tennessee-Martin preview

Before Mississippi State takes on archrival Ole Miss on the gridiron Saturday the men's basketball team has a little business to take care of first.

The 24th ranked Bulldogs host Tennessee-Martin tonight at 7 p.m. hoping to push their winning streak up to five games.

MSU is 5-1 overall this season having defeated their opponents by an average of 11.8 points despite using three different starting lineups to start the year.

The Bulldogs are 6-1 all-time against UT-Martin including winning the last five. Their last meeting came in Nov. 2007 with State claiming an 86-70 victory at home. The Bulldogs also have a 24-2 record against teams from the Ohio Valley Conference including the season opener this year against Eastern Kentucky.

Mississippi State is coming off a 78-63 win over Louisiana-Monroe Monday night. The Bulldogs got a 21-point performance from senior point guard Dee Bost playing without big men Renardo Sidney and Arnett Moultrie, both missing the game due to injury.
