Metoyer's Football Future Finally Decided

For months there has been speculation on just what was going to happen with Whitehouse, Texas five-star wide receiver Trey Metoyer. The 6-foot-2, 198-pound prospect was the highest ranked member of Oklahoma's star-studded class of 2011 but since the time of his commitment over a year again there had been growing concerns over his future enrollment at Oklahoma.

As National Signing Day came and went the innuendo and concern only continued to grow but all parties around Oklahoma and Metoyer remained confident that things would take care of themselves.

Concern grew when it was confirmed that Metoyer was enrolling at Tyler junior college to fulfill a few high school credits he lacked to enroll at Oklahoma, however many saw it as a sign that once the courses were completed that Metoyer would simply miss summer workouts yet still be part of two-a-days and join the team in the fall. And when it was announced several weeks ago that he had completed, and passed, the necessary coursework it seemed that it was simply a race against time for the NCAA Clearinghouse to permit his enrollment prior to the deadline of next Monday, Sept. 4.
