Army vs Navy: Game Day Visitors

If the scenario sounds all too familiar or to use a Yogi-ism, "it's deja vu all over again" for the Black Knights of Army.

When the Army hosted Air Force, there were between 25-30 recruits on hand to witness the academy rivals going head-to-head, and the mystique of taking in a game at Michie Stadium on the campus of West Point.

Although Saturday's Army-Navy classic will be on neutral grounds at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia it remains as one of sports' classic rivalries and the mystique is truly heighten this year, as both teams are bowl bound and evenly matched.

Oh yeah, and like the Army-Air Force game, the Black Knights will have as many prospects on hand, with approximately 32 scheduled to be in attendance.

Hence, the battle between Army & Navy will not just be on the field, but fighting for the talents of a few of the prospects that will be on hand and even some that will be watching via the CBS broadcast of the game. However, some of the decisions between the two schools have already been made, as is the case with hard hitting safety Matt Semelsberger who is an Army commit.

Yet you have athlete Brendan Dudeck, who is a post grad at the Highstown (N.J.) The Peddie School and is already a Navy commit, but will be visiting as a guest of the Black Knights on Saturday.

Joining Dudeck will be his younger brother, David (2012) who is out of Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School and will draw plenty of college interest by the time he steps into his senior year. However, David made it clear that he has already developed a special relationship with Army's running back coach Tucker Waugh. "Army and Coach Waugh were the first school to show me real interest and when he came to our school, I told him that I wanted my first college offer to come from Army," states David.

Speaking of the Hun School, there will be seniors A.J. Dillione (OL) and Zach Hundertmark, along with junior Wendy Laurent (DE). The 6-foot-3, 275 pound Dillione projects as a center at the next level and is excited about making the trip to Philly to take in Saturday's match up. "Army is number one on my list," shares Dillione, who like Hundertmark, is patiently waiting for an offer from the Black Knights.

"My interest in Army is very high and I am hoping that offer me," declares Hundertmark, who is a post grad and had initially committed to the Louisville Cardinals last year.
