UF-FSU Notebook

His season started with snap issues an ended with a loss to archrival Florida State. The offense he led struggled the entire year. The offensive line he anchored didn't meet lofty expectations. And the team he captained struggled to a 7-5 regular season.

To make matters worse, his chest was killing him Saturday night.

To say the least, neither the season nor Saturday's game went the way Gator center Mike Pouncey, a senior, had hoped, or expected.

But if you think Pouncey was sorry he stayed in school instead of leaving early for the NFL with his twin, Maurkice, after the 2009 season, think again.
