Bruins land their top hoops target

BruinBlitz.com has been working on this story all day but finally got to talk to Norman Powell, the 6-3 two guard from San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln High. Powell is the highly regarded shooting guard who has been the number one most wanted recruit by the Bruins for over a year, and was Coach Ben Howland's personal recruit.

"I am very happy to have the opportunity to play for UCLA," Powell said. "I like the school, like the campus and like the way UCLA develops guards." Powell said that Coach Howland told him that "he wants to get back to faster play."

Powell has high aspirations about his future, but he is a levelheaded young man and gets excellent guidance from home.
