Did Dunn enter the RB race?

The Ohio State Buckeyes will be looking to take two running backs in the class of 2012 by all accounts and with Columbus (Ohio) DeSales back Warren Ball already in the fold it will be a tight race to see who grabs the last spot. The race got a little bit more competitive when Canton GlenOak running back Bri'onte Dunn got recently offered. Dunn confirmed the offer with BuckeyeGrove.com via text message on Thursday morning.
Dunn has been tearing it up during his junior season and has broken the 300-yard mark in a couple of games already to date including against Massillon (Ohio) Washington high school. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder runs with power but is fast enough to gain separation in the open field.
The junior runner already is reporting offers from Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati but the interest should become national as more and more recruiters get tape on Dunn.
Ohio State also has talented running back Rushel Shell on its board and there are rumors that Shell may be in town to check out Ohio State for the Ohio University game but that has yet to be confirmed at this point. Shell also is offered by the Buckeyes and could also be a compliment to Ball at the running back position.
Ohio State will lose running back Brandon Saine after this football season and Dan Herron will be a senior going into the 2011 season. So Ohio State's top two backs would be off the board by the time any of the 2012 running backs would ever set foot on campus. With Ohio State apparently not taking a back in the class of 2011 that would open up some opportunities with most of Ohio State's current running backs being upperclassmen by that point including Jordan Hall, Jaamal Berry, Carlos Hyde and Rod Smith.
BuckeyeGrove.com will catch up with Dunn later this evening to get his reaction to his new offer and check out what his recruiting timetable may be after this news of picking up the big in-state offer.
