Jackson looks for big year

The Neville High (Monroe, La.) Tigers won the 4A state
championship last season.  Beyond the explosive offense displayed, the Tiger
defense was second to none.  A key member of the championship defense was
linebacker

Andrew Jackson
.

"I was put in the game against West Monroe last season as
my first start, and have been a starter ever since," Jackson said.  The
heartbreaking three point loss was the lone setback for the 2009 season.  "After
that West Monroe game, we all just promised one another that no one else was
going to beat us."

Jackson returns for his senior season as the team's leading
tackler with 36 and as one of five defenders on the all-district first and
second teams.  The hard work on the field has paid off with interest from
Louisiana Tech, North Texas, Northwestern State (La.),  McNeese State, Tulane,
and ULM all showing high interest.

Despite all of his hard work, Jackson is quick to also give
credit to his teammates, including 3-star Arkansas commitment

Demarcus Hodge
.

"Playing behind Hodge makes it easier for us in the
linebacker position to be freed up to make plays," Jackson said.  "Next season

Lorenzo (Lenoir)
and

(Ricky) Wyatt
will make another great duo."
