Shuler is Waiting to Learn More From the Sooners

Following the 2006 campaign the Oklahoma Sooners were forced to deal with the departure of All-American Adrian Peterson to the NFL. No longer would the prized recruit from Palestine, Texas be able to make a contribution on the field for the Sooner nation.

Fast-forward to 2010 and while 'AD' has traded in the crimson and cream for Minnesota Viking purple, it seems a presence can still be felt by the former Sooner who is known for his death-lock grip handshakes off the field.

The shock waves of that presence has traveled as far as Long Branch, N.J. where athlete Miles Shuler calls home.

A self-proclaimed Sooner fan Shuler recalls the first time he really started paying attention to Oklahoma.

"I really watched Adrian Peterson…he was so exciting to watch. AD is my favorite player even right now," said Shuler, who ranks as the fourth rated prospect out of the Garden State. "I love their colors and the way they play football, their coaching style, just everything about them."
