Five Questions with Adam Shead

Perhaps no player in Oklahoma's class of 2010 has a better understanding of championship level football than Cedar Hill, Texas offensive guard Adam Shead. The 6-foot-4, 315-pound run blocking extraordinaire is less than a month from reporting to Norman and caught up with him to give Sooner fans a better idea of what he is all about in this edition of 'Five Questions'.

Clark Foy: What person has had the biggest impact on your life so far?

Adam Shead: I would probably say my dad. Just because he's been there all the time, kind of giving me pointers and stuff, in my life and my game.

CF: What's your nickname amongst your teammates, buddies?

AS: I got, hah, I'm called by all three of my names, and then I've got another one. They call you Bear, my first name Adam, some call me my middle name Bryce, and some just call me Shead.

CF: What type of movies are you into?

AS: Comedy, action and scary movies. My favorite action movie right now would probably Mission Impossible III, well my favorite scary movie is Quarantine.

CF: What are you most excited about in your first year at Oklahoma?

AS: Probably just being a part of the team, just being there. I watched some of the games, I watched most of the games this year, just being a part of that crowd and running out in front of those people. If there's a moment that I'd say I'm looking forward to, its OU-Texas Weekend. Yeah, I'm ready for that. I'm ready.

CF: What are your expectations for your career at Oklahoma?

AS: I expect for me to come in and help out the team wherever it needs help. I expect to be whatever they need to be, you know what I'm saying? My goal is to be playing next year. But wherever they need me, that's what I'll do.
