Beast from the east visits UCLA

During spring ball the Bruins had a surprise visitor from defensive tackle Darian Cooper (6-3, 275) from Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha. Cooper plays a position of need for UCLA so he was very welcomed. How did the talented defensive lineman enjoy Los Angeles?

"I decided to take a little trip out there (Los Angeles) out west," Cooper said. "It was great. I loved it.

"The weather was great and the people were nice," Cooper said. "The whole west coast flow was real cool."

The funny thing is when Cooper was in town the locals were complaining how cool this spring was for them and the talented defensive tackle had a good chuckle about that.

"It was a drizzling a little bit, but when I got back home the day after," Cooper said. "It was pouring down rain. I was like man, the west coast had a drizzle, but we get a monsoon type of rain around here.
