Watson looking north
As Sean Watson gets ready for the final stretch of the recruiting process he has to do so with a big change from the school that was leading for his services.
A couple of weeks ago Jimmy Brumbaugh took a job at Syracuse University coaching the defensive line. This tossed a big wrench in the Watson's plans for college.
"I have not heard from him since he went to Syracuse and I don't know what's going on. He was supposed to offer me when he was at Louisiana Tech. He did not even tell me he was headed to Syracuse I found out on my own. Since then I do not know what has been going on with him."
How influential was the former Louisiana Tech defensive line coach on Watson?
"To me really he was the only reason I was going to go to Louisiana Tech, it was because of him. I liked what he was saying, what he was bringing to the table, and how he was recruiting me. He was already acting like he was my coach, he was a good guy."
Despite the solid relationship between the two while they were in the midst of the 2010 recruiting season does not mean Watson would follow Brumbaugh to Syracuse.
"I don't think that I would end up going to Syracuse," said Watson about heading up north for school.
