Bruins' practice back on track

Wednesday's practice was much better than Tuesday's in terms of tempo and focus. While asking some the players if they were aware of UCLA's rather poor showings up in Pullman over the last 20 years, they said they were and that they won't take the Cougars lightly. Not taking the Cougars lightly would be a very good thing because if they do, the good that was started against the Huskies, will certainly go into the tank.

It looks like Derrick Coleman will get the nod at the starting running back spot, but Johnathan Franklin will see action as well. The Bruin coaching staff is dead serious about ball security and nothing will send you the pine faster than a bout of fumbleitus.

UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel met with the media after practice.

Neuheisel: "I talked yesterday about needing a good day today and we got it. I'm really pleased to see that. It makes a world of difference in terms of the psychology of the game when you feel like you have a great practice under your belt going into Thursday so I'm excited about that and looking forward to the contest. Kevin Prince, again was great.
