Hardrick back in Kansas

Jermarcus Hardrick is just about done with what had to be one of the busiest weekends of his life. The four-star junior college prospect from Fort Scott Community Colleg attended LSU's game against Vanderbilt on Saturday, and he's now back in Kansas.

TigerBait.com spoke with the 6-foot-6, 320-pound lineman over the phone after his plane landed early Sunday evening.

"I can't even explain how it went," Hardrick said. "It was more than what I expected it would be. Inside the stadium on game day, there's nothing like it. It was my momma's first college game and she hasn't stopped talking about it."

What made the trip so memorable for Hardrick?

"When I got there Friday at like eight or nine (p.m.) we went and ate at TJ Ribs, then we went and met with the coaches," he explained. "I met with Josh Williford, and that was about it for my Friday schedule. The coaches just let me know they were happy to see me. It felt like one big family down there.

"Saturday was a real packed day. I woke up and had breakfast, then I met with coach Stud for like an hour. We went and watched some film and then I met with coach (Les) Miles. I went to watch the Tiger Walk and then went to the recruit room before game time."

The atmosphere in Tiger Stadium seems to have been a highlight for Hardrick, who was at LSU for the first time.

"I was on the field before the game and in the locker room after the game," he continued. "It was amazing. I cannot wait to be there. After the game I hung out with Rueben Randle, Chris Davenport and Chris Faulk. We just sat around and talked in the apartment. We basically just chilled and got to know each other."

Hardrick said he is on track to graduate from Fort Scott in December and enroll at LSU in January.
