Lake City, Fla. offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil is shooting for the stars.
"I hope to see myself as the top recruit in the nation," the 2013 prospect said in an interview with UGASports. "I think I can if I keep working hard."
The soft-spoken young man already boasts seven verbal offers from the likes of Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Arkansas, South Florida, Notre Dame and Southern Cal.
"It's very impressive," said Tunsil, who comes in at 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds.
But don't let the lack of girth fool you.
Tunsil said he's not a bit worried about his ability to put on weight, adding that the ability to move his feet is an aspect of his game that college recruiters love.
"They love my feet," Tunsil said. "It comes from playing basketball. The footwork you get from playing basketball helps you a lot."
Bulldog head coach Mark Richt was apparently impressed.
"I was excited when I got the offer from the head coach - definitely," said Tunsil, who has yet to make a visit to UGA but hopes to soon.
He's currently not scheduled to attend Dawg Night on July 15.
"I've got a team camp coming up in DeLand (Fla.) but that's it for right now," said Tunsil, who so far has only visited Florida.
Other visits will come.
"For me there are two main things I'll be looking for when I pick my school - education and being comfortable around the coaches," he said. "Those are going to be the two most important things for me."
Otherwise, Tunsil is careful not to give away too much info regarding his recruitment at this time.
"It's crazy," said Tunsil. "It's fun, but I'm just going to take my time and be smart."
