CBI and the Big Ten coaches are a bit redundant. CBI doesn't make a prediction, they said Indiana is the favorite due to the response from the coaches in their survey.

I know, I just linked it as more of a preseason preview than an actual poll since they have several survey questions.

Agree with Indiana at the top.  In spite of their coach being very odd (followed him on Twitter as I lived in Southern Indiana until just recently) they appear to be the cream this year.  With their investment in facilities and some very solid baseball talent in the area, they could end being a consistent player in the conference going forward.

After that your 2-6 looks about right but I think you could scramble that in just about any order and feel like you had a good predicition.  At best I would put us at 3 and think Illinois finsihes ahead of us.  Played a decent non conference and performing well.  We will be lucky to win 1 game this weekend considering how we are playing right now and the mental state this team has to be in.

Indiana, Illinois, Nebraksa in that order.  Agree with Iowa bringing up the rear.  Everything in between is a crap shoot.

Illinois has a really tough road schedule (at Indiana, at Ohio State, at Michigan State, at Minnesota).

Wow, Purdue 1st to 11th. How the mighty have fallen. That, right there, speaks to the plight of B1G baseball. No perennial  powerhouse.

I'll work on my list.

Purdue lost almost their entire team from last season.

Perennial powerhouses don't do that, right? And even if they do they just reload.

Will the B1G ever develop sustainable programs?

That was a once in a lifetime season for them.  As for the second question, I'd like to think Erstad can rebuild NU into a national power.

I agree with you about Erstad. I'd like to think that, too. My best crazy guess...
  1. Indiana (19-5)
  2. Nebraska (18-6)
  3. MSU (16-8)
  4. Minnesota (15-9)
  5. OSU (13-11)
  6. Illinois (11-13)
  7. Purdue (11-13)
  8. Iowa 9-15)
  9. NW (8-16)
  10. Michigan (7-17)
  11. Penn St (5-19)

I like the optimism in putting us 2nd, but I'd have a hard time putting us that high right now until we can prove that we can win on a regular basis.

Yeah, if our guys don't get their heads right, we could flop pretty badly. It's just that having so many close losses against quality teams on the road make me think well of this team.

Ten days of living out of suitcases can be a grind. We'll see how the boys handle all that against a 13-4 team this weekend.

Illinois is pretty solid, but they've only played five games against teams above .500 (2-3) and they're going TBA on Sunday.

This order looks pretty good to me.  Ilinois might be a little better and Purdue and Iowa not that good.  I just hope the weather straightens out and the games get played.

Big swing and a miss on both Michigan schools from just about everyone.

We played down to our worst potential here at the end but I wouldn't want to be a MSU fan. That team choked horrible bad against the two worst teams in the conference.
