I am the General Manager and Editor of Huskers Illustrated Magazine. I took over for Brian Hill in May, 2008. I have worked in the sports my entire career.
I'm originally a native of Auburn, Washington, 30 miles south of Seattle. I attended the University of Nebraska-Kearney, where I worked in the Sports Information Office through college. After I graduated from UNK in 1996, I worked as the Sports Information Director for two years.
I then joined the Nebraska athletic department in 1998, working in the sports information office, handling volleyball, baseball, track and field and men's basketball during my two and a half years.
I left Nebraska and worked as the Director of Media Relations for the Kansas City Royals from 2000-06. During that time, I handled all media requests, team publications and website operations.
After six years of traveling with the team, I decided I missed Lincoln and wanted to return. I started my own marketing company, Barnstorm Creative Marketing. I've been fortunate enough to land clients such as the New York Yankees and the Husker Sports Network.
