In early May the Huskers received a commitment from St. Louis (Mo.) CBC wide receiver Cameron Brown. Brown subsequently backed off on his commitment to Nebraska, but it seemed that he could eventually end up back in the class.

Brown, a three-star receiver and the No. 79 wide receiver in the country, announced on Twitter that he was in fact re-committing to Nebraska. The Huskers came out on top over Ohio State, Missouri, Georgia and Alabama for Brown's commitment.

"Nebraska has always been home to me," Brown said. "The coaches and players there are dedicated and those are the people that I want to be around. I feel Nebraska is the place for me to get to the next level."

One of the big reasons Nebraska might be a great fit for Brown is the offense. The Huskers have told Brown that they see him playing a different spots in the offense and he says that he will also push to be a factor on special teams.

"I am versatile enough to be able to play outside and slot at Nebraska. I will also be doing special teams for Nebraska. I will probably try and do kick and punt return."

One of the people who was key to Brown recommitting to Nebraska was coach Keith Williams. Brown feels like coach "Dub" is a conduit to maximizing his potential.

"Coach Dub is a coach who will help you reach your full potential and will help you excel at the next level."

Brown returned to Lincoln this summer after committing and decommitting to take part in the Nebraska Friday Night Lights camp. He was seen having a very good time and appeared to have a very tight relationship with commitments Brendan Radley-Hiles and Joshua Moore.

After Brown's commitment to Nebraska in May, it seemed that he would take visits to other schools in the fall despite his commitment to Nebraska. After his latest commitment, on his father's birthday, he says things are different.

"I don't plan on taking trips to any other schools."

Brown becomes the 11th known commitment for Nebraska in the Class of 2018 and is the third wide receiver in the class joining Joshua Moore and Manual Allen.
