  • NIKE Training Camps
  • The NIKE Training Camps are in full swing and there are several prospects taking full advantage of the exposure they are getting from the events. In this week's edition of Five on the Rise, we take a look at some more prospects who are really coming on in the class of 2007.

Included this week are two who made an impact at Columbus, a lineman that made a name for himself at State College and an undersized New Jersey WR that stood out at the NIKE Camp at Rutgers.

    Terrance Fox, Piscataway (N.J.)
    Position: Wide receiver
    Height: 5-foot-8
    Weight: 160 pounds
The Piscataway, N.J. wide receiver has been overshadowed quite a bit by teammates Anthony Davis and Tony Logan, but he had a breakout day at the NIKE Camp at Rutgers on Sunday. Although undersized, Fox is super fast, has very good hands and goes after the ball aggressively. Fox also runs excellent routes. He won't be a double-digit offer kid, but mid-level Big East and ACC teams could go after him hard. ?Mike Farrell
Paul Simkovich, Latrobe (Pa.) Greater Latrobe
    Position: Offensive tackle
    Height: 6-foot-4
    Weight: 298 pounds
Simkovich already has a nice resume of offers from Temple, Akron and Michigan State, but he proved that he could really be a national recruit at Saturday's NIKE Training Camp in State College, Pa. Simkovich definitely has the body to be an inside lineman and his toughness was amazing all day long. He was able to out-muscle and out-technique any defensive lineman that came at him during the camp. ?Jeremy Crabtree
Jordan Bernstine, Des Moines (Iowa) Lincoln
    Position: Safety
    Height: 5-foot-11
    Weight: 195 pounds
Scholarship offers were already growing faster than he could count, but the Iowa defensive back proved at the Ohio State NIKE Training Camp as to why he was one of the fastest rising prospects in the region. Running a 40-yard dash in the sub-4.4 second range and a vertical jump above 40 inches should definitely keep his offer count growing at a fast pace. The talented young man already has offers in from the likes of Iowa, UCLA, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Kansas State, Kansas, Iowa State, Purdue, and others. ?John Talman

    Alex Russian, Round Rock (Texas)
    Position: Tight end
    Height: 6-foot-4
    Weight: 220 pounds
The tight end class for the state of Texas is beginning to take shape with prospects like Russian coming out from under the shadows. The big prospect may not have caught a lot of balls during his junior season, but is talented enough to do that at the Division I level and also be a solid blocker. His frame and size should allow him to put on weight at the next level but maintain his athleticism. Oklahoma State and UTEP are his first offers, but expect more soon. ? John Talman

Vincent Browne, Lisbon (Ohio) David Anderson
    Position: Defensive end
    Height: 6-foot-5
    Weight: 245 pounds
There is no question that Browne's physical tools have already allowed him to rack up several solid offers, but his performance on Friday at the Columbus NIKE Camp could have taken his stock from a mid-level Big 10 guy to a guy that could end up playing upper-level football anywhere. Former NFL linebacker Chris Gizzi called him the best linebacker overall in the Columbus camp. "He's going to be a good one because he's so athletic," Gizzi said. ? Jeremy Crabtree
