If recent history is any indication, about a third of the five-star recruits in the 2012 recruiting cycle will turn pro after three seasons at the college of their choice.
With the unveiling of the first Rivals100 for the '12 class, we looked back at the five-star prospects from 2006, '07 and '08. The '08 signees could turn pro after last season, and 10 (of the 30 five-star prospects) did so.
From the 2007 class, just 10 of the 29 five-star prospects remain in school, and nine of them turned pro after their third season.
From the '06 class, the final eight five-star prospects finished up their college careers last fall. Another eight had left school for the NFL with eligibility remaining.
