April 19, 2011Kentucky recruiting target Trevor Lacey will be among the top attractions at Friday night's Derby Festival Basketball Classic in Louisville.
The Derby Classic, started in 1973, is the nation's oldest continuously-held high school all-star basketball game, but this will be its first time at the new downtown KFC Yum! Center.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST, and tickets are $16. The game will be televised by Fox-41 in the Louisville area.
Lacey, a four-star shooting guard from Hunstville, Ala., is considering UK, Kansas and Alabama with a decision expected in the next few weeks.
Louisville signee Chane Behanan and Indiana-bound Cody Zeller are among the five McDonald's All-Americans in the game.
Former possible UK target Braeden Anderson, who is committed to Kansas, and Kentucky Mr. Basketball Anthony Hickey, of state champion Christian County, are also playing.
None of UK's four 2011 signees - Mike Gilchrist, Anthony Davis, Marquis Teague and Kyle Wiltjer - are in the game, as high school seniors are allowed to play in only two all-star games each spring. Those four have already participated in the McDonald's and Jordan Brand Classic All-American games.
