Taylor discusses Elite 11 and more
Five-star quarterback Tyrod Taylor spent the past week out in California for the Elite 11 quarterback camp. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder did well despite suffering a slight injury on the way there.
"I just got back on Sunday night and I thought I did real well there," he said. "My hand was swelling up when I got there, but then went down just prior to the camp. Then in the first couple days of camp it cramped up on me and by the third day I had my snap back in my throwing hand. Now I can say that it's working fine and I'm training with my team for this season."
Though he wasn't able to completely show off his ability, Taylor came away with a lot from the experience.
"I had a great experience there and learned a lot in terms of coverages I'll certainly see in college," he said. "I did a lot of chalk work and it was a good teaching camp as I was able to learn from some quarterback counselors on-hand including Carson Palmer, Troy Smith and Jamarcus Russell. I especially liked Russell because he's a laid back guy."
