Familiar territory for Osborne on the recruiting trail

HuskersIllustrated.com The last time interim Nebraska Athletic Director Tom Osborne sat as a coach and closed a deal on a recruit was all the way back in 1998.
Osborne just had led the Huskers to their third national championship in four years, and he announced his retirement right before Nebraska's Orange Bowl victory over Tennessee. However, even though Osborne retired following NU's victory over Tennessee, he still helped first-year head coach Frank Solich close out Nebraska's 1998 recruiting class.
