How will injury affect Johnson's recruiting?
The recruiting process can be difficult at times for high school prospects, but when you are facing season ending surgery it becomes even tougher. That is what Miami running back De'Andre Johnson is looking at after suffering a torn ACL in Monsignor Pace's game against North Miami Beach last week.
As a junior, the 5-foot-8, 210-pound Johnson rushed for 1,121 yards and 10 touchdowns, which led to interest from a number of colleges. Holding scholarship offers from Iowa, Minnesota, Duke, Troy, Colorado State, and Florida International, the three-star prospect has been in touch with all the coaches recruiting him this week to tell them about the injury and his upcoming surgery.
This weekend, Johnson will make an official visit to Iowa as previously scheduled.
